Overview
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for people who have already worked in Canada and now want to become permanent residents. This program values individuals who have studied or worked in Canada and already understand Canadian work culture and society.
Because they are already contributing to the Canadian economy, their transition to permanent residence is often smoother. CEC is managed under the Express Entry system. CEC works on a pass or fail system. If you meet the minimum requirements, you can enter the Express Entry pool.

Best Option for International Students
For many international graduates, the Canadian Experience Class is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get permanent residence. After finishing studies at a Canadian college or university, many students receive a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). If they gain at least one year of skilled work experience during this period, they may become eligible to apply under CEC through Express Entry. This makes CEC a very popular pathway for international students who want to build their future in Canada.
