Overview
On January 1, 2015, the Government of Canada launched the Express Entry immigration system under the economic category. One of the main programs managed under this system is the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).
This program is designed for skilled professionals who have work experience, education, language ability, and other qualifications that help them succeed in Canada. Under Express Entry, skilled workers from many eligible occupations can create an online profile and enter the Express Entry pool. Your profile is ranked using a point system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Candidates with higher scores are invited to apply for permanent residence.

How It Works
Under Express Entry, skilled workers from many eligible occupations can create an online profile and enter the Express Entry pool. Your profile is ranked using a point system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Candidates with higher scores are invited to apply for permanent residence. If you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you must submit your complete application within 90 days. If approved, you and your family can become permanent residents of Canada.
